A new LIEBHERR crane, model LHM 420, is already working at Regional Terminal in Ravenna. The new machine enriches the port facilities of the Sapir group. The company is a longstanding customer of MAC PORT LIEBHERR: actually it has purchased mobile port cranes, wheel loaders and excavators from the German multinational since 2010.
The design of the LHM 420 has been optimized for large ships of the Post-Panamax class, i.e. units over 300 meters long and 48 meters wide. The crane is very suitable for the operation of the Sapir group, because it is versatile both for the handling of bulk and various goods.
The LIEBHERR mobile crane is equipped with the latest generation diesel engines in compliance with EU Stage V exhaust emission standards.
Furthermore, in the particular period we are experiencing, with the reduced possibility of travelling, the new IEBHERR Remote Service app is particularly effective. Thanks to the functions of video calls, chat, document exchange, whiteboard and screen sharing, this system allows real-time support, particularly useful for organizing a delivery or managing assistance in the current pandemic situation. LIEBHERR has accelerated the market launch of the remote service: all LIEBHERR customers with marine and crawler cranes up to a capacity of 300 tons have the opportunity to use the Remote Service app free of charge until the end of 2020.
